We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial analyses and reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. What You'll Do: Prepare and post month-end journal entries and perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including areas such as cash, credit card receivables, payroll, prepaids, leases, fixed assets, intangibles, goodwill, and operating expensesSupport accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processesDevelop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to journal entries and account reconciliation processesResearch and assist with implementation of new accounting standards, policies, and proceduresPrepare financial reports, analyses, and ad hoc reporting to support business operations across Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce channelsAnalyze financial data and operating results to identify trends, variances, profitability drivers, and opportunities for improvementCommunicate financial insights, discrepancies, and budget variances to Finance leadershipAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management processesSupport internal and external audits and ensure compliance with SOX controls and company policiesReview Accounts Payable batches for proper GL coding and expense classification What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred3-5 years of progressive accounting experience requiredPublic accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principlesAdvanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel preferred Pay Range: $85,000-$95,000 annually plus bonus based on experience 5.11 offers a best-in-class benefits program including: medical, dental and vision insurance; a 401(k) program with employer match; employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance.
