Oven Operator
This position is responsible for baking all products according to the existing current instructions. You will ensure that ovens are set up correctly, maintain the appropriate temperature and baking time, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the baking process. Your attention to details and adherence to safety and quality standards will contribute to the production of a great product. All employees are required to report any Food Safety issues to their supervisor immediately, who takes responsibility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Verify that oven is clean and free from any debris or contaminants.
2. Ensure all safety protocols are followed, such as wearing appropriate protective gear (e,g, gloves etc)
3. Preheat the oven to the specified temperature according to the baking recipe or product schedule.
4. Review the baking recipe or instructions for the specific product being baked.
5. Load the baking racks into oven, taking care to avoid spills or accidents.
6. Monitor the oven temperature and baking time throughout the process, making adjustments if necessary to maintain quality.
7. Record baking times, temperature, and any deviations from the standard procedures in the production log.
8. Regularly check the appearance, texture, and color of the baked goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
9. Report deviations related to product noncomplying with customer specifications or any other deviation related legality or quality.
10. Collaborate with quality control personnel to conduct periodic inspections and test as required.
11. Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the baking process, such as uneven baking, oven malfunctions, or product defects.
Working Conditions/Physical Factors:
1. Works overtime as required.
2. Workers are exposed to a loud working environment.
3. Worker exposed to hazards in the workplace such as close proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts.
4. Frequent bending, stooping, standing, climbing, reaching, walking, lifting, twisting, pushing, pulling and squatting required.
5. Must be flexible and willing to work any shift, time, day or holiday.
6. Must be able to ascend and descend, ladders to perform tasks required in job description.
7. Workers are exposed to temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. More extreme temperatures possible during summer months.
8. Must have the ability to understand both written and verbal instructions.
9. Must be capable of exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, and at least 30 pounds of force constantly.
10. Worker subject to working in cramped locations.
11. Must be capable and ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately
12. Must be able to work in an environment containing dust, egg, wheat, milk, and soy (allergens).

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or GED.
1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably in the food industry
Knowledge of the multicultural work environment.
Preferably bilingual English/Spanish.
Ability to communicate effectively, both internally and externally, at all levels.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to respond quickly and prioritize under pressure.
Always professional attitude, good organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collect, analyze and report results related to production scheduling.
Strong knowledge of math, reading, writing and record keeping.
Must have a good attendance record, including punctuality in deliveries.
Ability to learn and apply company standards, including but not limited to lockout/tagout, safety practices, GMP, company policies, etc.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
