Role SummaryAs a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing of a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies within the plant. This role involves accurately processing and loading shipments to meet production schedules, while safely operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts. This role will streamline operations by utilizing warehouse equipment and technology, such as JDE, RFS, and RF systems, to track inventory movement effectively.Job DetailsPosition Type: Hourly, Full TimeShift: 2nd shift: 3PM-11PM M-F, training on Dayshift, 7AM-3PM M-FPay Range: $19/hour - $21/hourWork Location: Mount Carroll (905 S. Jackson St)Reports to: Production SupervisorKey ResponsibilitiesComplete shipments by processing and accurately loading orders to meet production schedules.Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate material handling tasks.Utilize warehouse equipment effectively to streamline operations, ensuring the timely movement of materials throughout the facilitySchedule, move, weigh, stock, receive, and pack inbound and outbound products, maintaining optimal inventory levelsLoad and unload trucks with precision, ensuring the safe transport of materials and productsUtilize JDE, RFS, and RF technology to accurately track inventory movement and streamline shipping processesDeliver raw materials to work centers promptly to support production operations and minimize downtimeAssist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular counts and reconciliations, ensuring stock levels align with production needsEnsure all materials are correctly labeled and packaged, inspecting for damage to uphold quality standards.Skills/CompetenciesBasic verbal and written communication skillsBasic mathematical skillsAttention to detailExcellent time managementAbility to problem solveAbility to work in a team.Qualifications (Required)0-2 years of experiencePossess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.Physical RequirementsMust be able to push/pull objects up to 30 poundsMust have the dexterity to handle small objectsMust be able to work in noisy environments.Various agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
