Job DescriptionJob Overview:The Information Technology Support Specialist works to support end-users with the equipment and software they use daily. This position is often the first point of contact employees will contact when they have a problem. Resolving concerns, or escalating them in a timely and friendly manner, is most important. Remaining current on computer, peripheral, and mobile technologies is vital. This role will require great communication and documentation skills.Duties/Responsibilities:Onboarding Requests Creating/Editing user accounts (RTPro, AD, Email, etc.)Offboarding Requests Disabling all user accountsAdminister incoming helpdesk support issues in a timely mannerConfigure new computer setups, phones, printers, and other peripherals as requiredPerform and assist with maintenance and updates for end-users computersAsset Management Using applications lie Dou and Maas360 to manage corporate assetsAccessing corporate devices via remote systems Using remote software such as TeamViewerConfiguring VPN and 2MFA access for usersOrdering new hardware for branch locations (This includes network equipment, racks, etc.)Provide security support with the installation and updates of our Sentinel One End PointPeriodic maintenance of facility security systems requiredBeing an on-site resource for all misc. IT needsTroubleshooting network/Wi-Fi problemsProvide emergency support for after-hours and weekend usersRemain current with industry trends and new equipment to be proficient in the field and to assist in keeping Rentex optimalPerform other duties as assigned/neededMinimum Qualifications:Proficient IT skills, and knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software problemsStrong knowledge of Mac OS and resolving issues for Mac users in a timely mannerKnowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, MS Teams, and Microsoft O365Strong technical knowledge of peripherals, including mobile phones and other mobile devicesBasic knowledge of networking and VM infrastructuresBasic familiarity with Cisco and Meraki productsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlinesAbility to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities dailyAbility to work some weekends, after-hours and on call as neededOutstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsCreative problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Azure AD a plusAt Rentex, Inc. we offer a competitive total compensation package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
