1st Shift Heat Treater

Heat Treater/Parts HandlerLocation: Enfield, CT1st Shift, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am 6:00 pmPay: $18/hrThis position is Full-Time and requires overtime as necessaryThe following tasks/actions are required in the position:Responsible for loading or feeding parts onto the furnace belt in accordance with written instructions on the Process Control SheetKnow and recognize customers partsKeep all parts identified and properly organized in such a way as to avoid mixingEnsure product flow for given operationFollow procedures to complete assigned dutiesReport major manufacturing problems to Heat Treat SupervisorObtain all necessary supplies to perform daily tasksMaintain all necessary quality measurements and reportingEnsure manufacturing area is cleaned and organizedKnowledge of how to load and offload machinesFollow department rules, procedures, routines, and requirements to complete assigned dutiesResponsible for sampling parts during the assembly operation, to ensure parts meet customer specificationsEnsure that all components have been accepted and correspond to the job work orderMust verify that all required paperwork are on the workstationPerforms other duties as required by managementJob RequirementsMinimum RequirementsThree months of work experience. Preferably manufacturing experience.Ability to read and listen to work instructions in EnglishAbility to work overtime and weekendsFlexibility to work other work shiftsBasic computer skillsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to work in a higher temperature environmentMust to be able to perform repetitive movements with arms and handsMust be reliable and ready to perform job function at beginning of shiftMust have reliable transportation to and from our facilityMust be able to function and work safe per company safety guidelinesPreferred CandidatesPrevious experience with a heat treater/metal finisherTwo years experience in manufacturing environmentMachining/Metal working experiencePrior assembly and inspection experienceWork Environment and Special ConditionsThis position works in a manufacturing setting. This position is occasionally exposed to odors, dust, mists, heights, cramped quarters, oil, grease, and dirt. A moderate to loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job.
