Development Specialist
Job Summary
Supports manufacturing objectives by working with technical experts, and others to ensure the success of new products and designs.
Responsibilities
-
Involves Team leaders/technical advisors in day-to-day problem solving, as identified in the production report.
Become a “hands on” technical expert in assigned areas such as tooling, set-up, machine operation, and material handling.
Assists in implementing engineering changes/new part introductions.
Loads/debugs new or altered programs into machines.
Assists in creation of work instruction, procedures, and state books.
Handle initial call-in duties, works with technical staff to provide back up.
Responsible for mentoring new team members.
Adhere to and administer company policies/procedures pertaining to their job.
Actively seeks out areas for improvement and devises/aids in the development of counter measures.
Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO/TS16949 and has the responsibility to contact Team Leads and/or stop processes that could ship a non-conforming products.
Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO14001 and ISO 45001; the company’s environmental, health, and safety risks of their job, and how their job affects the environment.
Any and all other tasks assigned by management.

Effective uses people skills to lead, manage, coordinate, teach, correct, and to support the operating philosophy of the Company.
Clearly articulates design activities.
Equipment is maintained in first class condition.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. B.S. Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
2. Experience in all aspect of industrial maintenance, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and tooling; machining principles; programming; molten metal properties/experience.
3. Computer literacy required, AutoCAD experience preferred.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
