Structural Design Engineer Onsite opportunity available in Greenville, SC.ResponsibilitiesLead structural engineering assignments of advanced complexity within large EPC project environments.Serve as an Area Lead providing guidance and oversight to engineers and designers.Analyze technical issues and provide independent engineering recommendations.Develop and review:SpecificationsDesign criteriaEngineering calculationsEstimatesSchedulesProgress reportsStaff forecastsPerform and review structural calculations for:FoundationsConcrete structuresSteel structuresCoordinate technical activities with:Project managementOther engineering disciplinesVendorsClientsSupport procurement and subcontracting activities including:Scope developmentTechnical bid evaluationsVendor submittal reviewsSupport construction activities including:RFIsField changesField engineering supportEstablish and report material quantities, forecasts, and project analysis.Execute work in accordance with project scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.Basic QualificationsU.S. Citizenship required.Bachelor s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum 10 years of related engineering experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Significant EPC experience supporting large industrial projects.Working knowledge of:Federal codes and standards (including DOE Orders)State and local codesEngineering compliance requirementsAdvanced knowledge of:Structural analysis and designWind and seismic loadingDynamic analysisStructural computer modelingFoundations, concrete, and steel structuresAdvanced proficiency with:STAAD / STAADProRISA3DMathcadExperience utilizing:Engineering analysis tools3D modeling2D CADD tools within multi-discipline EPC environmentsStrong communication and leadership skills across engineering and project teams.Preferred ExperienceNuclear industry experience preferred.Experience supporting DOE or other federal projects.ASME NQA-1 nuclear design experience preferred.Demonstrated experience leading large engineering projects.Experience with:Project setupControl-level schedulingProgress reportingProject close-out activitiesPractical field experience preferred.Knowledge of commercial material availability and costing.Experience supporting projects within:Nuclear facilitiesManufacturingPharmaceuticalBiotechnology environments
