Tax Administrative AssistantWe are seeking a Tax Administrative Assistant with advanced Excel skills to join our team of dedicated professionals. This full-time position can be hybrid out of the Century City office. The Tax Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting Staff and Managers with administrative components of tax filing.Primary ResponsibilitiesTrack, assemble, process, and file all tax engagements including but not limited to individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and extensions; amended tax returns, quarterly estimates, and the reporting of foreign bank accountsCoordinate with Tax and Account Management personnel for the procurement of documentation required for filing of tax returns and tax related paymentsProvide supporting documentation for Account Management personnel to use to book payments and receivablesOversee and maintain records of necessary tax documents including those pertaining to proof of successful timely filingAssemble and coordinate all documentation necessary for requests to E-File DepartmentMonitor status of tax returns/extensions and keep professionals informed of rejections or other errorsMaintain awareness of return diagnostics to point out possible impediments to the filing processPrepare tax returns and other correspondence for shipping via Certified mail, Express / Priority Mail, and FedEx as necessaryMonitor booking of tax AJE'sMaintain knowledge and awareness of federal and multi-state due dates, forms, and filing requirementsTrain new hires on the policies and procedures of the tax departmentAssist in tracking of K-1's and other tax-related documentsDraft IRS and other tax authority correspondence when requestedAssist with scanning and filing of tax documentsAssist in researching multi-state and multi-entity types filing parameters and prepare charts for filing requirements for use by the Staff and Managers of the firmRun reports regarding e-filing rejects and notifies staff/managers to determine how the matter will be rectifiedOther projects and duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma with 2+ years in a similar role is required,Bachelor's Degree is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication and consultative skillsStrong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a trusting relationship with staff and clientsComfort communicating with all levels of the organizationHighly organized and meticulous attention to detailAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (macros)Ability to handle multiple prioritiesAbility to work in a team environment and independently when neededSome knowledge of tax filing processes or similar experienceFounded in 1967, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GRF") is a leading full-service business management firm for an exclusive assortment of entertainers, executives and select high net worth individuals. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $50,024 - 54,943. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
