Job Description:Position SummaryThe Healthcare team at Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced Analyst to join its team located in New York, with a focus on the Biopharma industry. Candidates will join a highly collaborative team responsible for providing M&A advisory and capital raising service and capabilities to corporate clients.GS offers a unique opportunity to work as part of small client teams on major strategic assignments, providing meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued. Candidates must be focused on earning a promotion to Associate upon completion of the Analyst program and becoming a top performer with the intention of developing a long-term banking career.Essential Job FunctionsPrepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountantsAssist in the development of complex financial models and valuation analysisPerform client due diligence, prepare information memoranda and other transaction-related documentationContribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firmConduct competitive research including identifying sector and industry trendsGather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations to senior leadershipPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, industry expertise in healthcare a plusSignificant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior managementSolid interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to senior management and/or senior clientsA proven track record of high intellectual horsepower throughout academic and professional careerIntellectually curious with a passion to seek a deeper understanding of how organizations in all sectors perform bestBasic Qualifications1+ years of investment banking experience or 2+ years equivalent experience in a quantitatively rigorous, related financial field (e.g. business development, strategy / M&A consulting)Familiarity with M&A and Equity Capital Markets transactionsAnalytical and quantitative problem-solving skillsMastery of basic valuation and financial statement analysisSalary* Annual base salary between $110,000 and $125,000.* The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
