Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives on challenging, high-level work and values collaboration within a well-established—and growing—organization.Our team handles a diverse range of matters, including construction defect, premises liability, product liability, and other complex general liability cases. This is an in-office position that offers one remote day a week with the potential for more remote days as the paralegal progresses.What You’ll DoIn this role, you will take ownership of your files and work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation—from initial pleadings through trial preparation. You’ll play a critical role in driving cases forward while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization.What We’re Looking ForMinimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in civil defense litigationExperience handling Texas matters in both state and federal courtsStrong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminologyExceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressureMeticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documentsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows applications, e-filing systems, and online research toolsAbility to maintain strict confidentialityStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including interaction with senior-level professionalsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelySound judgment in managing a diverse workloadExperience with billing and time entryParalegal certificate or degree preferred, but not requiredWhy Join Segal McCambridge?This role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, contribute to sophisticated litigation matters, and grow alongside an experienced and supportive legal team.
