This role ensures high-quality underwriting, appropriate loan structuring, and proactive portfolio monitoring. Success is measured by timely credit decisions, well-structured facilities, and minimized portfolio risk exposure.Key Responsibilities * Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow statements, and credit reports to assess borrower risk and repayment capacity * Perform financial statement spreading and detailed commercial credit analysis * Conduct annual reviews of commercial loan portfolios and identify potential risk exposure or developing problem loans * Assign internal risk ratings and recommend loan structures, pricing, covenants, and terms in partnership with Relationship Managers * Support new and existing credit facilities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting client financial data while ensuring compliance with bank loan policy and prudent underwriting standardsMinimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field * 2+ years of credit analysis experience within a commercial banking environment * Strong understanding of commercial lending, underwriting standards, and credit risk assessmentCore Tools & Systems * Microsoft Excel (advanced spreadsheet analysis and financial modeling) * Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Financial spreading software and internal loan origination systems (LOS) * Credit reporting platforms and portfolio management systemsPreferred Skills * Experience supporting commercial lenders or Relationship Managers * Exposure to portfolio management, loan review, and risk grading processes * Knowledge of diverse commercial loan products, structures, and covenant analysis
