Yields to pedestrians./liliAssesses any damage to vehicle. Clearly notes any damage on claim ticket along with location of vehicle when parked. Stores and secures vehicle keys./liliOpens hotel doors for all guests and gives verbal welcome when not parking or retrieving guest cars./liliPerforms valet duties and parks vehicles in open spots./liliGraciously assists waiting patrons and parks or retrieves their vehicles./liliQuickly retrieves guests cars in a timely manner./liliDrives company and guests vehicles safely./liliConveys a favorable image of the organization by projecting a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests./liliEnhances our guests experience by offering assistance in unpacking and organizing their luggage and golf clubs./liliProvides secure and organized storage for guests luggage and golf clubs on a temporary basis./liliCreates positive memories for our guests by informing them of local activities and entertainment with energy and enthusiasm. Fulfills guests needs in an efficient and caring manner./liliAnswers the department telephone with a friendly voice using professional telephone techniques and etiquette./liliSchedules and arranges transportation service for our guests./liliPlays a key role in ensuring that all guest needs are met in a timely manner by interacting and communicating closely with other departments in the hotel./liliProvides a safe and secure environment for both our guests and colleagues, by knowing and assisting in safety and emergency procedures./liliAssists with various duties including intake of vehicles and luggage, escorting guests to room and events and delivery of luggage, packages and room deliveries./liliUndertakes other responsibilities as directed./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pQualifications/pulliAt least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training./liliA combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement./liliThe ideal candidate has experience working in the hotel environment is preferred./liliMust have an unexpired and valid drivers license with no recent violations./liliFor insurance purposes, candidates must be over 21 years of age./liliMust be able to drive all vehicle types./liliAvailability to work on weekends and holidays is required./liliMust be able to work in all types of weather and be able to stand on their feet for 8 hours or more, while running to and from the garage./liliIdeal candidate can read, write, and speak English, and have good communication skills./liliApplicant will be subject to pass a drug and alcohol screening, criminal background check, and must be able to pass a DMV Motor Vehicle Report in accordance with the companys requirements and stipulations./liliAbility to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges./liliAbility to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs./liliThe following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq./li/ulp**The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment.
