If you're a natural leader with a passion for great food and outstanding service, we want to hear from you!Job Description:As a Restaurant Manager at Tatsu-Ya, you will lead our team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will manage staff schedules, ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high standards, and address guest concerns promptly. With your proven leadership and knowledge of restaurant operations, you will drive continuous improvement and help us provide outstanding service.Staff Management: Create and manage staff schedules, track labor and overtime to prevent shrinkage, and monitor staff in/out times. Provide effective training and support for new hires and ongoing development for current staff.Operational Efficiency: Maximize staff and product efficiency, uphold health and safety standards, and minimize waste. Fine-tune kitchen operations and conduct regular line checks to maintain high standards.Process Oversight: Optimize FOH and BOH processes, ensure effective use of Opus and Toast systems, maintain prep and par lists, and oversee cleaning, opening, and closing checklists.Customer Experience: Supervise guest areas to ensure excellent service, maintain staff productivity, and adjust procedures based on real-time business needs.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of learning and improvement for both new and tenured employees. Manage availability updates and handle time-off requests efficiently.Qualifications and Skills:Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong emphasis on staff training and developmentExperience managing both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operationsProficient in using Toast and Opus systemsStrong organizational, efficiency, and problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to maintaining high standards and delivering an exceptional dining experienceRequirements:Must be 18 years or older to work for Tatsu-YaSuccessful completion of Food Handlers Manager and TABC certificationsStrong communication skills and ability to follow directionsProfessional handling of customer concernsAbility to stand for long periods and manage a busy shiftBasic knowledge of food service operations is a plusIf you're passionate about leading a team to create exceptional dining experiences and excel in managing operations and guest satisfaction, we want to hear from you!
