Our proprietary technology provides complete visibility where there has never been any under dark water in wastewater tanks. With SediVision, a client will know precisely how much and where the material has accumulated in their wastewater tanks, enabling them to make informed decisions about how to restore capacity and where to direct cleaning resources. This process allows managers to control cleaning efforts toward structures with the highest accumulation and develop a predictive maintenance schedule based on reliable data.Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, SediVision, is seeking to add a qualified and experienced Environmental Technician to its team on the Gulf Coast. This Environmental Technician will be primarily responsible for performing wastewater sediment surveying and sampling for SediVision services using several methods, data gathering and recordkeeping, and monitoring, along with directing subcontractors, general operations, and maintenance.This position requires self-motivation, dedication and compliance with strict safety guidelines and the ability to work as part of a team with daily direction from project management. Experience is a plus, but not a requirement. This position will involve extensive travel throughout the state of Florida and the Southeast region, with some overnight stays required.RequirementsDuties & Responsibilities:Conduct acoustic surveys, using a variety of technologies, and collect sediment samples within contained waterbodiesClean, maintain, and calibrate acoustic survey and water chemistry collection equipmentCollect, load, and transport project-specific equipment to the job siteSet up and operate equipment at elevation on decks and catwalksCollect sediment samples in the field in accordance with established protocolsCoordinate with onsite client representativesTroubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during data collection in order to stay on schedule and complete projects on timeFollow all Safety Protocols in place for survey locations and activitiesFollow all Trade Secret requirements imposed by SediVision to ensure proprietary information is not disclosedQualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age or olderExperience in wastewater/stormwater applications or other environmental sampling fields is highly preferred Previous hydrographic survey and/or hydrologic science experience is highly preferredMust be proficient with computers, Microsoft Windows, and capable of learning new software platformsMust be a team player and have good attention to detailMust have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record within company standardsMust be willing and able to pass a pre-employment drug test screening, a criminal background check, a motor vehicle check, etcMust be able to work long hours, overtime, and/or extended hours when required as neededMust be willing and able to travel Monday-Friday and work at remote project sites throughout the state of FL and other surrounding regions when required or as needed, which is subject to change each week based on the company's operational needs and the weekly project schedule.
