Join our build-ready teamWe’re looking for a motivated welder-fitter who thrives on precision, safety, and craftsmanship. If you enjoy translating blueprints into finished aluminum assemblies—and documenting each step with discipline—you’ll feel right at home here.What you’ll doSet up and operate GTAW/TIG equipment to weld aluminum across varied thicknessesFit, tack, weld, cut, and grind parts to print using electric, gas, arc, or other welding processesLay out, position, and secure components based on specifications, drawings, and blueprintsPerform manual or semi-automatic welding in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positionsDial in parameters—amperage, voltage, and gas—to achieve proper arc characteristicsMaintain equipment via preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and request repairsComplete production and quality logs with accuracyVerify work using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and fixtures; conduct detailed inspectionsHow we operateAttendance: Be punctual, prepared, and consistent; limit unscheduled time away.Quality: “Do it right the first time” so customer requirements are met without rework.Safety: Follow all rules and wear required PPE at all times.Accountability: Own outcomes—both quantity and quality.This job description is subject to change with or without notice.Qualifications1+ years of TIG experience or equivalent trainingAWS D1.2 certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)Pass the CIT weld testExperience with diverse welding procedures and setupsProficiency using electrical/manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprintsWorking knowledge of safety standards and consistent use of PPEManual dexterity and strong attention to detailProcess disciplineFollow documented procedures, work instructions, and operational processes.Understand that non-compliance can cause increased customer rejection rates, higher internal scrap, late shipments, personal injury, and environmental harm.Contain and immediately report any nonconforming product to management.No supervisory duties are assigned to this role.Environment and physical demandsWork in a manufacturing setting with loud noise, fumes, airborne particulates, moving equipment, and vibration; occasional exposure to chemicals listed on Safety Data Sheets; moderate temperature changes over an eight-hour shift.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Regularly talk and hearRegularly stand, walk, handle and feel with hands, reach with arms, climb/balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlLift/move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionallyClose and color vision with ability to focusSchedule, location, and toolsFull-time; 8-hour day shiftOn-site workCommuting to Richmond, IN 47374 (Preferred)Primary machine: TIG WelderCore skill: Blueprint ReadingBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time offEmployee assistance programTuition reimbursementReferral bonus programExperienceTIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding: 1 year (Required)
