The Lab support Tech ensures that our test infrastructure is built to scales operations and expand Client's test capability across all product lines.Where you come in: (target 5-8 bullets, max 10)Be the on-site person for Lab maintenance and support to ensure the infrastructure is usable remotely by all teamsSet-up of PCs and Mac machines in the lab with standardized images and security patchesWork with IT on to ensure connectivity in the lab at all timesSet-up/assemble racks of machines/servers and update HW as needed for test and validationWork with the Test and Development teams to purchase test equipment (Switches, phones, Macs, USB cables etc.) and get it shipped to DXCMBuild/maintain and allocate VMs to scale test infrastructure and make it available to teamEnsure that all lab activities comply with safety regulations, protocols, and ethical standards.Collect debug logs and work with IT team as needed to ensure proper network connectivity in the lab at all timesInstall automation tools to collect data and monitor stats for the labUse lab mgmt SW to take inventory and track the health of lab devicesCollaborate with other teams to standardize lab management toolsKeep detailed records of inventory purchases to shipped to teamsDocument the lab layout and usage, processes, device info etc. so that it's easily accessible to all test engineersWhat makes you successful: (target 5-8 bullets, max 10)Must have 3+ years of experience building and maintaining an engineering labYou must have experience in racking up servers, cabling/labeling, building and maintaining an engineering labs with test fixturesHands-on experience working with Windows and Mac Operating systems, taking snapshots/back-ups, updating security patches etc.Good understanding of lab administration tasks, well versed with lab/infra management tools and proceduresExperience managing inventory of assets and labeling/tracking etc.Experience in setting up, using, managing and configuring VMs for multiple usersExperience in Implementing safety measures and providing training to lab personnel.
