Doggy Daycare Attendant

We are looking for hard-working dog lovers that are eager to learn about dog care from a genuinely dog-focused daycare and boarding facility. We have a tight-knit group of caring individuals who work hard to create a successful and positive environment for our canine guests. The position is more than just cuddling puppies. There is a lot of hard work and patience that goes into working with dogs. So if you're ready to join a team, learn the language of dogs, get your hands a bit dirty and your clothes a bit furry - we might be the place for you! Our team works both independently and as a team, to find the best program for each dog. Each day you will be spending time developing relationships with the dogs, maintaining a clean & safe environment, working with your fellow team members - sharing information, listening, learning, being willing to jump in. Throughout the day dogs spend time in playgroups which consist of using our outdoor play yard and indoor play rooms along with various seasonal activities. This position requires your full attention. It is extremely detail oriented. The health, happiness and safety of our guests depend on your pet care knowledge, keen observation skills, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Supervising dog daycare play groups, providing a safe and fun environment for all dogs Caring for all the dogs as if they were a part of your family Engage, Interact and Enjoy the dogs Able to interact in a positive way with all sizes and types of breeds Developing loving and caring relationships with the pets in your care to better understand there personality, behavior, and determine play groups in which they would be best happy and successful. Maintain cleanliness of facility (kennels, play areas, etc) Assist in the screening and introduction of the new dogs into the playgroup(s) Cleaning up after dogs and maintaining a professional atmosphere Sanitizing kennels, outdoor yards, and common areas (sweeping, mopping, maintaining clean environment for all pets) General Cleaning including washing dishes, laundry, dusting, etc. Requirements Reliable, hard working and efficient team player Desire to work in a professional, positive, fast paced, team environment Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively in a dynamic environment Willing to work weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather Access to your own reliable transportation Ability to stand for several hours at a time Ability to lift and move 50lbs Ability to pass a background check Over the age of 18 years Though not required preference will be given to those who have experience working with animals Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: Employee discount Shift: 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Morning shift No nights Split shift Work Days: Weekends as needed Ability to Relocate: Perrysburg, OH 43551: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
