Full job descriptionRosewood Memory Care is a small, private residential memory care home in Charlotte, NC. We provide personalized care in a beautiful home environment for residents living with dementia and other cognitive changes.We are hiring a part-time Care Assistant / Lifestyle Lead for 2 shifts per week.This is not a traditional facility CNA role. This position requires someone who can provide excellent hands-on care while also helping create a meaningful, engaging day for each resident.Position OverviewThe Care Assistant / Lifestyle Lead supports residents with daily care needs while also helping lead activities, engagement, household flow, and the overall environment of the home.This role is best for someone who is dependable, emotionally mature, observant, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, mobility, meals, and daily routinesSupporting residents with dementia using patience, redirection, and calm communicationHelping lead and participate in life enrichment activities throughout the dayEncouraging residents to stay engaged socially, physically, creatively, spiritually, and intellectuallySupporting outings/community experiences when scheduledHelping maintain a clean, calm, organized, and homelike environmentNoticing resident changes and communicating concerns to leadershipCompleting assigned tasks without needing repeated remindersWorking as part of a small team where everyone helps with care, engagement, cleaning, meals, and resident supportRequirementsApplicants must have:At least 1–2 years of CNA or direct care experienceExperience working with older adults, dementia care preferredAbility to provide hands-on personal careAbility to help lead meaningful resident engagement, not just “watch” residentsValid driver’s license and comfort driving residents as neededReliable transportationStrong attendance and dependable work historyAbility to manage the home environment and stay productive during slower momentsA complete resume with accurate employment historyWe Are Looking For Someone Who IsA self-starterCalm under pressureKind, patient, and respectfulComfortable with both care tasks and lifestyle/engagement tasksOrganized and observantReliable with consistent work historyAble to work independently and as part of a small teamComfortable in a residential care setting where staff are expected to stay active and engagedPlease NoteApplicants with incomplete resumes, unclear employment history, frequent short-term job changes without explanation, or limited direct care experience may not be considered.Application Question(s):How many years of CNA or direct care experience do you have?Do you have experience assisting residents with bathing, toileting, dressing, incontinence care, transfers, and meals?Are you comfortable providing both personal care and leading resident engagement activities during the same shift?This position includes care, engagement, light housekeeping, meals, laundry, and keeping the home organized.
