Category Manager – Dispensed Beverages

Scope: Environmental compliance lead responsible for managing inspections, permitting, and regulatory reporting across a multi-site fuel operation. Serves as the liaison to regulatory agencies, ensures adherence to UST and environmental standards, and maintains all compliance documentation. Identifies and resolves deficiencies, oversees spill response and incident investigations, and supports ongoing policy, training, and compliance program execution.Responsibilities:Manage compliance inspections and testing to include scheduling and coordination with inspectors, contractors, technicians, and site personnel.Procure equipment documentation and permits, distributing as required to applicable regulatory agencies.Organize and maintain repositories for compliance testing, system repairs, tank registration, personnel training, and other required certifications.Assemble compliance inspection document packages for regulatory agencies, e.g. City, County, State, or Federal.Review alarm reports, inspection forms, test reports, and photographs to identify and address potential deficiencies.Perform all administrative functions relating to permits and licensing; this includes applications, document preparation, updates, renewals, and distribution.Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and best practices.Develop and enforce standard operating procedures relating to environmental safety and compliance; update training programs and documentation accordingly and advise the Director on strategic policy.Complete and submit timely reports to applicable agencies and the Environmental Director.Conduct site inspections according to established schedules.Coordinate, oversee, and perform all administrative functions relating to spill response reporting and procedures.Investigate environmental accidents and violations; develop and implement corrective resolutions and preventive protocols.Collaborate with contractors to address incidents and repairs involving fuel storage tank systems.Qualifications:Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in environmental compliance, remediation, or fuel systems operationsWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including 40 CFR Part 280 (UST compliance)Familiarity with fuel storage systems, inspections, and corrective action processesExperience managing permits, licensing, and regulatory reportingOSHA Environmental Specialist Certification or similar training preferredKnowledge of Florida and North Carolina remediation programs preferredExperience with spill response, incident investigation, and contractor coordination preferredProficient in Microsoft Office and database systemsStrong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interpret technical documents and schematicsSufficient visual acuity to perform detailed computer-based and field inspection workStrong organizational skills with ability to manage time effectively and work independentlyValid driver’s license with ability to travel to field sites and support a 24/7 operation, including on-call availability
