Pay range and compensation package:Pay Rate: $30–50/hrDuration: 1-Year Contract (extension possible)Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Relocation/Sponsorship: No relocation or sponsorship availableAbout the CompanyWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Structural Designer to support engineering and design activities related to hyperscale data center module projects. This role will work closely with Engineers and Engineering Managers to produce detailed mechanical, piping, and structural drawings, BOMs, layouts, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have strong EPC modular drafting and design experience, proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and prior experience supporting data center or industrial infrastructure projects.ResponsibilitiesCreate and review mechanical, piping, and structural drawings and BOMs based on customer requirementsPrepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs independentlyEnsure drawings comply with engineering, QA/QC, and industry standardsDevelop layouts and technical drawings for equipment installations and system functionalityProduce deliverables including:Piping layouts and isometricsStructural general arrangementsWeld and connection detailsFoundation and equipment support drawingsPipe support detailsHVAC ductingP&IDs and flow diagramsPlatform, ladder, walkway, and stair drawingsAssist troubleshooting efforts by simulating issues through drawings/modelsPrepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) sequence drawings and proceduresCompile installation procedures for customer submissionsCoordinate and supervise outsourced engineering/design workReview vendor drawings and documentation for complianceGenerate reports from models and provide design support to project teams and clientsContribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned processesQualificationsTechnical Certification in a design-related discipline5+ years of experience supporting mechanical, piping, and structural design projectsExperience in hyperscale data centers or similar industrial environments strongly preferredStrong understanding of EPC modular drafting and designExperience producing engineering sketches and technical drawingsKnowledge of CAD and BIM software platformsFamiliarity with industrial standards and codes such as ASME, OSHA, ASTM, AWS, NFPA, AISC, and ASHRAEStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments Required SkillsSolidWorks (Required)Autodesk AutoCADNavisworks Manager / FreedomPDF Editing Software (Adobe, Foxit, etc.)Microsoft Office 365 SuitePreferred SkillsSAP ERP (Engineering Modules)Autodesk RevitAutodesk BIM 360Experience with high-density or hyperscale data center environments
