We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to empower Overlay robots to perform highly dynamic operations in demanding real-world environments..The TeamOverlay engineers work closely with the founders to influence product direction, company roadmap, and business outcomesWe enjoy shipping features, moving fast, and being scrappyWe are receptive to feedback and continuously work on improving both our product and our craftWe work out of our Oakland office togetherWhat You’ll DoOwn the development of real-time perception systems that guide intelligent robotic behaviorBuild and optimize pipelines for face detection, tracking, and spatial awarenessIntegrate vision algorithms with mechanical and motion control systemsCollaborate with design and hardware teams to support precise, high-quality cosmetic applicationTune, test, and validate visual models in dynamic real-world conditionsContribute to system architecture and guide long-term perception strategyDesign and build data and evaluation pipelinesEngineer and ship high quality, reliable software that will be deployed to the real worldCollaborate with other Overlay team members to develop and continuously improve the autonomy stackWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of experience solving applied computer vision problems (tracking, SfM, depth estimation) preferably in robotics or embedded applicationsStrong skills in modern computer vision and machine learning tools such as OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow/Jax.
