Job Summary: We are in search of a professional and passionate General Surgeon with medical and surgical knowledge, and excellent decision-making skills. General Surgeons are expected to be psychologically resilient and able to communicate effectively. Must have the strength and stamina to cope with the demands of performing surgery.Must have excellent organization skills as well as the ability to coach and lead a team often while working under pressure. Candidates should have a high degree of dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, and excellent visuospatial awareness.Responsibilities:Examine, make diagnosis, evaluate, review medical history, and advise patients on the risk involved with having surgery.Perform surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, disease, deformities, and patient function while adhering to regulatory and ethical protocols.Follow established surgical techniques during surgery.Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatment and procedures.Make certain operating room, all equipment and instruments are sterile.Direct and coordinate activities of hospital staff for proper patient care.Supervise all treatment prior to and post-surgery, and identify associated risks.Maintain the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Associations Bill of Rights for patients.Plan and execute illness & disease prevention and promote good health.Job Benefits:Competitive salaryDirect Deposit401KComprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision benefitsEmployee discount programExcellent room for growth and advancementRequirements:Current medical license in state of practice required.Certification required from the American Board of Medical Specialties.Five (5) plus years of residency training in general surgery.Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visuospatial awareness.Strong clinical diagnostic skills.Commitment to a high standard of care through the promotion and maintenance of overall health.Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.The ability to communicate information in layman terms to patients and/or their families.Continue research into scientific studies and complete frequent Maintenance of Certification (MOC) programs to ensure ongoing proficiency.
