Outside Sales Executive
This is a Commercial/Outside Sales position with heavy local travel (visiting Miami-based clients and prospects) + 25% overseas travel (Central/South America).Requirements5 to 10+ years of experience within the Ocean Freight/Shipping industry. Strong client-facing experience (sales, customer service, operations)Full-cycle sales experience to LATAM companies (highly preferred)Bilingual Spanish (required)Strong verbal and written communication skillsBA Degree preferred, but not requiredAble to do 25% international travel (1 to 2 weeks per quarter)Able travel to prospects in Miami/Ft Lauderdale area (must have U.S. Driver's License)ResponsibilitiesFull sales cycle including lead generation, prospecting, setting meetings, pitching deals, negotiating rates, closing new businessReporting directly to Chief Commercial OfficerDeveloping new business relationships along new & existing trade routes in Central/South AmericaSchedule and participate in virtual/video calls with Agents, prospects, and existing clientsOutbound prospecting (cold/warm calls)25% Travel internationally to Central & South AmericaUpsell clients on additional servicesTake bookings when closing new businessFollow up on rates quoted to local and overseas teamsWork closely with carriers and vendors to find the best possible price and cost solutions available to customersOnboard new business
