Their algorithms sit at the core of the product — solving complex optimisation problems that impact trillions of dollars across capital markets each year. You will join a cross-office Algorithms team (London & New York), working on systems already in production while also contributing to new product development from the ground up.Location: 11 West 42nd Street, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10036, USA Work mode: Hybrid — 4 days in office, 1 day remoteSchedule: Monday–Friday, flexible 9-hour dayQualifications3+ years of production Python with strong OOP2+ years designing and implementing algorithms and data structures at scaleExperience on quantitative or optimisation-driven projectsSolid TDD and agile delivery backgroundAWS + Python backend experienceComfort with AI-assisted dev tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc.)Strong communicator — able to work directly with business stakeholdersC1+ EnglishDegree in CS, Math, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, or similarNice to have:Experience with Gurobi, NAG, or OR-ToolsBackground in derivatives, clearing, or margin calculationPostgreSQL and AWS hands-on experienceAdvanced degree in a quantitative disciplineWhat you'll do:Productionise and scale complex financial optimisation algorithms into enterprise-grade systemsTranslate mathematical models into production-ready Python solutionsResearch and iterate on algorithms to improve performance and scalabilityPartner with Product Owners and SMEs to deliver precise technical solutionsContribute to design reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and core product architecture
