This responsibility includes the provision of and attention to the care of major and minor illnesses related to the nervous system. Receives administrative supervision from a Practice Manager. Instill the IMS mission, vision and values in the work performed.Essential Functions:Assess health status of pediatric, adolescent, or adult patients through health history, taking physical examination and diagnostic testsDevelop and implement plans for providing treatment of illness or injury related to the nervous system, such as seizure disorders, Parkinson's disease, or Alzheimer's diseasePerform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with IMS credentialing/privileging policy. Including but not limited to:Dementia ScreeningElectroencephalogram or Video EEGVideonystagnography (VNG) for vertigo testingElectromyograph (EMG)TitationAssess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for serviceResponsible for documenting patient information and visit information into IMS' Electronic Health Record in an accurate and timely mannerProvide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit.
