They will be flexing between different responsibilities to help fill in where the need is greatest. Since meat is the main star of the show, the Kitchen Assistant is essential to a quality dining experience. Kitchen Assistant is to help all roles within the back of house. The primary focus is the meat line at the pass-through window and fulfilling orders. They are to shift their job based on business needs. They can assist the line cook, pantry, and meat butchery. Kitchen Assistants must keep all areas clean and maintained.Essential Functions:Operating the passthrough window for delivering meat.Support the line cook, pantry, and meat butchery areas as needed.Meat butchery is the primary focus.Assist with receiving food shipmentsKeep all areas clean and maintainedThe ability to adjust to business needs and display a sense or urgency during peak hours.Perform additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal communication skillsPossesses a friendly, outgoing, positive and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to be professional and courteous with their teammatesAble to exercise good judgment while working both independently and collaboratively; works well in a team environmentAbility to multitask and be aware of which parts of the business need the most assistance, and transition between roles seamlessly and efficientlyAble to work in a noisy and sometimes chaotic environment and be flexible under a variety of circumstancesPunctual, neat and accurate in work habits; precise and detail-orientedAbility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended schedules during peak periodsValid ServSafe Food Handler's CertificatePhysical DemandsAble to move from place to place which may include standing and/or walking for extended periods of timeLift and carry 50 lbs short distancesDress Code: Non-slip shoes, hair net.Pay Range: $19.00/hr to $24.00/hr + TipsEmber Korean BBQ is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and values diversity, inclusion and respect.
