Quality Assurance Contractor — Web & Mobile (CONTRACT, REMOTE, LATAM)We're looking for independent QA contractors to help test our local news websites and mobile apps. You'll work directly with our development and product teams to catch bugs before they reach users, validate new features, and run regression testing on releases across our digital brands.This is a contract engagement.What you'll do day to dayExecute manual and automated test cases across our websites and iOS/Android appsReview product requirements and technical specs, then design test scenarios that cover real user behaviorLog clear, reproducible bug reports in Jira and track them through to resolutionRun regression testing before each releaseTroubleshoot issues alongside developers — help them reproduce bugs and validate fixesStay current on new testing tools and approachesWhat we're looking forSome hands-on experience in software QA — we're open to early-career candidates with the right fundamentalsSolid understanding of QA methodology: test case design, bug reporting, regression, smoke, exploratoryComfort with at least one automated testing tool (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar)Experience working in Agile teamsStrong written English — you'll be writing tickets US developers need to act onHigh attention to detail and a methodical approach to breaking softwareSelf-directed — you can prioritize your own work and flag blockers earlyNice to have (not required)Previous QA work on news, media, publishing, or content-heavy websitesExperience with CMS platformsMobile app testing across iOS and Android (BrowserStack or real devices)API testing with PostmanLogisticsEngagement type: Independent contractorHours: FlexibleEquipment: You use your own setupStart: As soon as we find the right fitHow to applySend a short note covering:Your QA background and the tools you work withYour current availability and typical hourly or monthly rate (USD)One sample bug report you've written in the past (redact anything confidential)
