Clinical Supervisor

Job Description:  Maverick Psychotherapy Group is looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a Clinical Supervisor position.  A Clinical Supervisor is an experienced mental health professional who provides direct clinical services to clients and oversees the clinical work of 5-8 MPG  mental health professionals. A Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of best practice and high-quality mental health service and care to MPG clients. In this role, a Clinical Supervisor provides group supervision, individual supervision which includes clinical and administrative guidance, case consultations to other MPG psychotherapists as needed, and assesses and addresses client risks, crises and/or emergencies of psychotherapists. We’re seeking someone deeply committed to social justice and equity in mental health, who practices cultural humility, gender- and neuro-affirming care, and is dedicated to continuous learning and growth. Key Responsibilities:Supervisory Responsibilities Provide weekly individual clinical supervision for 5-8 cliniciansFacilitate weekly clinical group supervisionAssess and support psychotherapists in managing client risk, crises, and emergenciesMaintain accurate supervision notes and other required documentationReview and approve all supervisees’ documentation Attend weekly individual clinical/supervisor supervisionAttend supervisory team meetingsAssist in interviewing and evaluating potential hires as assigned by leadershipClinical ResponsibilitiesMaintain a caseload of approximately 14-17 clients per weekProvide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy using a range of therapeutic approaches Conduct initial mental health assessments and develop collaborative treatment plansMonitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies, and provide ongoing psychotherapyAssess and address client mental health risk, crisis and/or emergencyMaintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation Qualifications:Master’s degree in Social WorkValid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of NYMinimum 5 years of direct clinical experience post masters in clinical social work Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience of clinicians and/or Master’s level (MSW, MHC, MFT) internsEmployment Classification: Full-time, exempt salaried employeeLocation: Woodstock and/or Kingston, NY or Remote or Remote/In-person HybridReports to: MPG Leadership TeamManages: 5-8 Psychotherapists Compensation: $85,000 per year (after an up to 90 day adjusted salary of $55,000 period to build a supervisory/clinical caseload and administrative duties of at least 20 hours).Benefits:Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) per year, to use for vacation, personal needs, or physical or mental wellness timeHealth Reimbursement Arrangement Health Reimbursement Arrangement Continuing Education benefit at $3000 a year, including three year SE training paid in full Paid Family Leave, 12 weeks at 67% pay up to the state weekly wage maximumMPG pays 50% of Employee FICA tax (7.65% of total income including Additional Compensation)Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerLight to moderate lifting may be required, up to 15 pounds While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and phone Specific vision abilities are required to see a computer monitor Working Conditions:Work from home location or from MPG’s office based on the needs of clientsOccasional travel to an office environment, meetings, events, and various functions as neededAdditional evening or weekend hours may occasionally be required for emergencies or special projects Please send cover letter and resume to cchristensen@maverickpsychotherapygroup.com Maverick Psychotherapy Group values a diverse workforce and strongly encourages BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ identified people, immigrants, people of marginalized genders, women, people with disabilities, and formerly incarcerated people to apply.
