Surgery - General Physician Assistant

Job Quick Facts: • Specialty: Surgical Oncology/General Surgery-PA • Job Type: W2 Contract • Facility Location: Santa Monica, CA • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Period: Jun 8 - Aug 17, 2026 • Coverage Type: Clinical only • Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri (Full-time) - 8-10 weeks only - Mon/Wed/Thu: shift times vary - Wed: reserved for bigger cases - Thu: lighter/smaller cases (mainly add on, assist surgeons) - Tue/Fri: roughly 8a-5p (may end earlier at 2p-3p); OP • Patient Volume: 4-15 • Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 NP/PA, 2 MAs & 2 Office Staff • Required Skills: - Must have strong OR & surgical skills. - PA first-assist in cases (needs to be experienced enough to work somewhat independent in the IP setting. - Surgical oncology/general surgery responsibilities. • EMR: Epic • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: • Active CA License • BC • CA DEA • At least 2 yrs of experience • Robotics experience & certification • Must have 25 general cases (notes, HMPs) & 5 OR cases
