Walker is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse operations during one of our most critical shifts.In this role, you'll oversee warehouse associates and temporary staff while ensuring the accurate movement of premium wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage products throughout the distribution center. Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment. Provide coaching, direction, training, and performance feedback to employees. Monitor productivity, attendance, and compliance with company policies and collective bargaining agreements. Accurately document employee attendance, tardiness, safety incidents, and policy violations. Encourage employee engagement and support a culture of continuous improvement. Drive Operational ExcellenceOversee the efficient movement of inbound and outbound products throughout the warehouse. Monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. Coordinate daily warehouse activities to maximize productivity while controlling costs. Ensure customer orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately and on schedule. Conduct routine warehouse inspections to maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency. Monitor warehouse performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements. Deliver Exceptional Customer ServiceRespond professionally to inquiries from customers, sales representatives, and internal departments regarding orders, inventory, and shipment status. Resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Partner with internal teams to ensure timely communication and issue resolution. Coordinate Across DepartmentsCollaborate closely with Inventory Control, Production, and Wholesale/Control State teams to ensure smooth order processing and shipment execution. Assist in planning and coordinating out-of-state, wholesale, and control state shipments. Communicate critical operational information to fellow supervisors and management to ensure seamless shift transitions. Support cross-functional initiatives that improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels. Champion Workplace SafetyPromote a culture where safety is always the top priority. Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. Identify and address unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately. Conduct warehouse walkthroughs and safety inspections throughout the shift. Ensure breakage, debris, and other hazards are promptly removed from work areas. Lead by example and reinforce safe work practices across all warehouse operations. Operational LeadershipAccurately approve and process temporary staffing time records. Secure and alarm company facilities when required. Serve as a backup to the Shipping Operations Manager and assume warehouse leadership responsibilities in their absence. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Preferred QualificationsWhat We're Looking For: 3+ years' experience managing a team of 5 or more people in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics leadership role preferred. Experience supervising union employees strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive operational results. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills. Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
