Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review work orders and create a plan for grouping orders by material to process orders efficiently
Pull stock from warehouse, ensuring the correct material and thickness matches what is needed per work orders
Enter size and quantity information into computer‑controlled saw
Enter the correct amount of material cut and used into system to maintain accurate inventory levels
Distribute cut material to various areas of the shop to be machined
Assist in cycle counting and inventory tracking
Light saw and forklift maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Follow all company safety protocols and best practices.
Interpret and adhere to the production schedule and job priorities.
Effectively communicate with team members regarding job status, issues, and quality concerns.
Qualifications
Must be able to use/learn to use CNC saw, forklift, tape measure, caliper, scanner, computer, and label printer
Must have communication skills to work with internal customers to update about different work orders or ask question about product or system issues
Must have personal management skills to keep area organized and follow procedure
Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
