This role requires hands-on experience operating yard driver equipment and comprehensive knowledge of flatbed loading and securement procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving materials and operating specialized yard equipment while following all safety and company guidelines.Specific Duties/Essential FunctionsFollow 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environmentOperate yard driver equipment to move trailers within the facility yardLoad and secure materials onto flatbed trailers according to DOT regulations and company standardsMove materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentCoordinate with drivers and logistics team to ensure timely loading and dispatchMaintain accurate inventory records and shipping documentationFollow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipmentCommunicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisorsAssist with receiving, storing, and organizing incoming materialsEnsure proper load distribution and weight limits are maintainedPerforms additional tasks and responsibilities, as needed, to support team and business objectivesRole RequirementsMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust be able to read, write, and communicate in EnglishNo record of citation or conviction for any serious traffic violation or license suspension in the previous 36 monthsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of yard driver experienceAt least 1 year of flatbed trailer loading experienceAbility to operate a forkliftStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsMust be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
