Assistant Manager - Holey Grail Donuts - Hanalei (Ave $33 hr with tips)
Job Overview:
The Team Lead position (Assistant Manager) is pivotal for the success of any Holey Grail location. Team Leads are responsible for collaborating and supporting the Shop Lead (Manager) to build and nurture a positive team culture, ensure exceptional hospitality and product, lead hands-on training, and support the day-to-day operations.
The Team Lead spends most of their time on shift, motivating and coaching the team, ensuring a quality guest experience, and managing breaks and tasks needed for successful operations.
Responsibilities:
Training & Quality Assurance:
Take the lead on ensuring new team members are trained utilizing training materials and hands-on practice. Work with the Shop Lead to conduct training check-ins.
Give positive and constructive feedback, coaching teammates to be their best.
Ensure team members are following policies and utilizing checklists appropriately.
Ensure products are served as expected, with the highest quality and standards.
Remind team members to stay up with Opus Training. Break team members to complete training as time allows.
Labor and Health Department Laws/Policies
Assist the Shop Lead ensure that labor and health department policies are in place and consistently practiced.
Monitor break times and ensure that team members take adequate breaks per local laws and regulations.
Ensure any injuries or safety issues are reported immediately.
Inventory:
Help to ensure the location is stocked with needed beverages and other supplies and communicate inventory needs with the Shop Lead within an adequate timeline.
Assist with weekly ordering and shop inventory counts.
Ensure prep lists are made, and prep is completed in a timely manner to PAR.
Ensure merchandise is well stocked and beautifully displayed.
Guest Experience
Go above and beyond during all shift work to positively reinforce exceptional product and guest experience.
In the Shop Lead’s absence, take the lead to serve and positively engage influencers and media.
Teamwork with HG Support Team
Collaborate with the leadership team to strategize the implementation of financial performance goals.
Work collaboratively with the Marketing/PR department to ensure positive community relations and experiences for media and influencers.
Work with the Cafe Success team to improve guest reviews.
Give feedback and communicate challenges to the Shop Lead and Holey Grail Support Team.

Requirements:
2+ years of retail/hospitality experience with a strong preference for coffee, food & beverage
Retail management/supervisor/shift lead experience
Available for full-time work required
Available to work opening and closing shifts
Available to work at least 2 out of 3 weekend shifts from Friday - Sunday
Confident using computer programs and/or the ability to quickly learn Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Calendar, etc.)
A passion for Holey Grail’s concept and mission
A valid driver's license and a vehicle
Existing Food Handler Certification is a plus.

The starting pay for this role is $23/hour plus tips. Tips average $10 hr at this location. This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime pay and eligible to earn tips.
