We are seeking an entry level Carpenter Apprentice, those interested in a hands-on, fast-paced shop environment, learning the trade, to become an integral part of our team for our Commercial and Industrial Casework shop located in Midland, Michigan.Qualifications: At least 18 years of ageCompletion of Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screen and Physical, Strength Assessment, and Safety Training for Construction TradeMinimal travel required within Michigan .Education and/or Experience:High School Degree or EquivalentPrevious trades training is a plus but not required. CNC machine experience is a plus but not required.Physical Demands: Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneelingCrouch, crawl, stoop rarelyThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusUse of sharp tools and power equipment in working conditions where there is possibility for slip and fallSubject to variable weather conditions inside and outside of buildingManual DexterityGood hand-eye coordinationGood sense of balanceWork Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrationThe employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of weather conditionsMust use safety equipment (PPE) where warranted.
