Experienced Tax Consultant

Join our team as a seasonal, experienced Tax Consultant and help individuals make confident decisions about their lives, careers, and finances! At H&R Block, you'll have the opportunity to cultivate client relationships that will strengthen every year.As a Tax Consultant, you will provide expert support to clients with a range of tax requirements while receiving top-notch training to ensure your success. Your role will include:Conducting tax interviews with clients both in-person and through virtual platforms such as video, phone, chat, and email.Preparing complete and accurate tax returns.Driving business growth and increasing client retention while presenting additional products and services.Offering support for IRS inquiries and ensuring clients feel supported throughout the process.Providing audit representation if you hold Circular 230 qualifications.Mentoring and assisting teammates, fostering a collaborative working environment.To be successful in this role, you should also have:A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.Certification as a CPA or Enrolled Agent.Experience in completing complex returns, including individual, trust, and partnership tax returns.At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.Proficiency in using virtual tools for tax interviews.Skills in tax planning and providing audit support.Sales and/or marketing experience.Your expertise is vital, and we require:Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.Capability of completing individual tax returns.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with virtual communication tools.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Compliance with continuing education requirements and meeting all IRS and applicable state guidelines.A high school diploma or equivalent at a minimum.We invite you to take the next step in your career with H&R Block, where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients!
