Customer Service Associate (Cashier)The Customer Service Associate provides prompt, efficient, courteous, quality customer service. This includes operating a cash register, greeting customers, assisting with fuel dispensers, cash handling, light janitorial duties, and other duties as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide friendly service to customersGreet and assist customersOperate cash register to enter a convenience store and gasoline purchases (assistance will be available if needed)Account for all monies, cigarettes, and lottery tickets on assigned shiftCheck the expiration date and face-off productFollow proper safety protocols and proceduresRequirements for Cashiers:Must be available to work graveyard shiftsMinimum of 1 year of customer service experienceMust have the ability to handle money accuratelyMust have strong attention to detailMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have excellent customer service skillsMust be capable of effectively communicating with customers and co-workersMust be able to work independently and be self-motivatedMust be able to do simple math such as counting, recording, addition, subtraction, and multiplicationPhysical Demands:Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shiftRegularly lift and or move up to 20-50 poundsMust be comfortable working in a convenience store environmentMust maintain a professional appearance and abide by the Dress Code PolicyMust maintain a professional and friendly demeanor towards customers and fellow employeesDaily exposure to gasoline and oil productsFast-paced environment(This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
