We utilize cutting edge green technology in our materials and manufacturing processes, and hold multiple U.S. Patents.DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF SHED OPERATIONS MANAGER?Production & Installation ManagementWorking directly with the Operations employeesManages the logistics including shipping, receiving, PACK, and communication to the cross docksUnder the direction of the DM, recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising the performance of the operations teamsFollowing the direction of the DM, supervise Installation function, reviewing sales orders to ensure financial and logistical criteria have been satisfactorily metOversee daily planning/scheduling of the Operations team's manpower and materialsPerform customer service duties, such as resolving warranty issues by reviewing and scheduling work to be performed as required to satisfy the customer and fix the Tuff Shed product(s)Assisting the DM with daily, weekly, and monthly corporate document submittalsOperates the Factory efficiently and effectively in order to produce the assigned and expected profitablyMaintain appropriate staffing levels to maximize production and maintain labor costs as budgetedUnder the direction of the DM and in conjunction with the Production Manager and/or the Production Foreman, performing fabricator employees' performance evaluations, as required; also, preparing and conducting fabricator employees' disciplinary actions and making recommendations to the DM regarding counseling, warnings and/or terminationsEnsures that building quality, communication, and customer experience are in alignment with the Company expectations and its impact on the Tuff Shed brandManages the Company's Warranty Program and ensures that it is followed, and any required repairs are conducted in a timely mannerSafetyPerforming daily safety walk-through inspections of the Shop area and the YardImplements and carries out the Company's Safety Programs and ensures compliance to DOT regulations, including the management of all associated recordsPreparing, scheduling, and leading store safety meetings, trainings and work-related injury investigations as required by OSHA guidelines and Tuff Shed Safety Department.Ensure tools and equipment are secured, inventoried and maintained, and meet safety requirementsInventory/MaterialsPerforming monthly cycle counts and ongoing inventory managementCertifies the Store's inventory is accurate by conducting monthly physical inventory countsMakes sure that all material is ordered in a timely manner, meeting production schedules while minimizing inventory costsEffectively negotiate and develop relationships with local suppliers to ensure that materials are purchased at or below standard costSubcontractor/Installer RelationshipRecruits and onboards subcontractors to surpass 35% of the store's revenue budgetInspects the quality of work being performed by subcontractors to ensure Tuff Shed finished product quality expectations are met or surpassedSKILLS & EXPERIENCEExperience working in a fast-paced, high volume production environment, preferredProven experience in successful business-to-consumer sales in large ticket productsProven leadership and relationship building skills, including experience managing employees and resolving employee relations issuesDOT, OSHA, and employment law knowledge highly preferredAbility to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general publicAbility to solve complex business problems using sound logic and good judgmentAbility to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and in diagram form.Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports which create a professional image for Tuff ShedAbility to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers and the general publicAbility to use mathematical, accounting and financial tools as they apply to Tuff Shed businessWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?An opportunity to join a successful company and be part of the growth of the team!
