Java Developer

Duties and Responsibilities: · Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software · Contributing Agile team member · Work with Product Owner to understand, scope and decompose requirements · Prioritize and deliver software development items per requirements and deadlines · Develop and test all code changes · Test all application code changes thoroughly and ensure adherence to requirements · Write unit tests to provide code coverage · Maintain unit tests to ensure continued coverage · Maintain existing applications · Develop new functionality and applications · Motivated Self-starter and quick learner Knowledge, Skills, Experience: · Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concept · Knowledge of Java, Spring MVC, Spring Security and other frameworks · Knowledge of Hibernate ORM frameworks · Experience with Web based application development using Java technologies · Experience with HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap · Experience with SQL/TSQL and stored procedures (MS SQL Server, Oracle) · Experience with complex database structures · Experience with a variety of development tools including Eclipse IDE, Git version control, Team Foundation Server and AWS or Azure DevOps. · Experience with mobile application development is a plus · Experience with Angular/React/Vue is a plus · Experience with Micro Services is a plus · Experience working in the cloud, especially AWS is a plus · Experience with is GIS a plus Ideally, candidates will have: · BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience. · Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed. · Strong problem-solving skills · Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
