🚨 Full Stack Developer | AI RegTech💰 $150k–$180k base + meaningful equity📍 Jersey City, NJ Hybrid/In Office 🚀 Founding engineering teamI’m working with an early-stage AI company tackling a genuinely difficult problem: regulatory complexity.Power projects, data centres, renewable energy developments and major infrastructure projects can be delayed for months because critical information is buried across thousands of regulatory documents, zoning codes, environmental filings and agency requirements.This company is building an AI platform that understands that information, connects it to specific projects and locations, and turns it into verifiable, actionable intelligence.They’re now looking for a Founding Backend Software Engineer to join their small, highly technical team.What they're looking for:✅ 4+ years Software Engineering experience✅ Strong Python backend development✅ Frontend development using React.js✅ Production experience with AI agents / LLM workflows✅ Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI APIs or similar✅ Search systems + GraphQL / REST✅ PostgreSQL / databases✅ Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, GCP or similar✅ Comfortable with containers, CI/CD & observability✅ Someone who thrives in a 0→1 / founding engineering environmentThis is one of those roles where you aren't just joining an engineering team, you'll help define what the engineering team becomes.If you're a strong backend engineer with serious AI/LLM experience and want genuine ownership at an early-stage company, apply to be considered!
