Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Contract) – 2026/2027 School YearLocation: Colorado Springs, COContract Duration: 43 Weeks (Start Date: August 4, 2026)Shift: Day (5x7.5-hour shifts, 07:00 AM – 02:30 PM)OverviewSeeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions support students from Pre-K through 12th grade across a variety of educational settings. Candidates will play a key role in delivering specialized instruction and managing individualized education programs (IEPs).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needsDevelop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Serve as case manager for assigned studentsCollaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staffMonitor student progress and maintain accurate documentationEnsure compliance with state and federal special education regulationsFoster an inclusive and supportive learning environmentQualificationsActive Colorado Special Education Teaching License OR in the process of obtaining licensureExperience working with students with disabilities (preferred)Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skillsAbility to manage caseloads and meet deadlinesCompensation & DetailsOvertime: 1.5x after 40 hours/week or 12 hours/dayOrientation: All hours billableNo on-call, holiday, or callback requirements
