NaCN Process Manager

The NaCN Process Manager provides day-to-day guidance in safely operating the sodium cyanide manufacturing plant in Memphis, TN. The process manager owns the production area and makes decisions and provides direction to meet production goals and best utilize the manufacturing assets.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide direction to shift supervisors/operatorsVerbal communication and coachingProvide daily shift instructionsInterface with the supply chain to meet production goalsMonitor the process conditions and get other resources involved as needed to troubleshoot/optimize plant operationLead the morning process monitoring meeting and provide an update during the 8am site meetingWork with Maintenance Coordinator and plant resources to plan scheduled outagesDevelop work listScreen/scrub items from the list according to business needProvide input during Capital Project design reviews and work with shift supervisors to schedule operators for participation.Provide a weekly work schedule for operatorsDeploy flexible resources as needed (vacation relief operators, Safety Operator)Ensure mandatory training is scheduledSet the standard for safety and housekeeping in the area.Coordinate work that impacts one of the other units with the respective management or vice versa.Provide functional guidance to MCs and Shift Supervisors.Review area procedures/SOCsReview MOCsConduct Incident Investigations as assignedOptimize plant performance and maximize available production daysScheduling routine maintenance/mini-outages overlapping other opportunities to minimize production impactStrategic scheduling of outage work taking customer impacts, raw material availability, demand, etc. into consideration.Provide felt support and guidance during process outagesGenerate weekly work schedule for operators and material handlersConsidering plant needs while minimizing OTPrimary lead on hiring operators• Schedule and track training and qualification of operatorsPrimary area contact for operationsThe following is required for this role:Strong understanding of chemical process operations5+ years of experience in management of High Hazard Process (HHP) facilities/hazardous materials manufacturing.Demonstrated understanding of safety procedures and corporate safety philosophyDemonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractorsAbility to set priorities and provide directionDemonstrated strong teamwork, collaboration, and cross-cultural skillsDemonstrated ability to create a respectful work environment where everyone can contribute to their full potentialDemonstrated capability to drive results and meet tight timelinesExcellent time management and strategic planning skillsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent attention to detailDemonstrated ability to be flexible in a constantly changing work environmentProactive and can think strategicallyProven record of developing individuals and own self-developmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Forms, TeamsThe following is preferred for this role:Experience with cyanide manufacturing or handlingSAP experienceStrong understanding of plant costs and general accounting principleKnowledge of Process Safety ManagementBenefits:Competitive CompensationComprehensive Benefits Packages401(k) MatchTuition ReimbursementLearning & Development opportunitiesCompany-paid volunteer daysWho we are:Draslovka is a global supplier with a family business approach focused on the future of our planet.We are an international team driven by a shared goal and guided by our core values:We put safety firstWe always do the right thingWe build strong relationshipsWe act like business ownersWe constantly reimagine what's possibleWe specialize in the manufacture, distribution and application of CN-based chemistries, with more than 100 years of experience in CN chemistry and production for chemical synthesis, mining, industrial and agricultural applications.
