Store Director

Key ResponsibilitiesWhen a guest enters my store, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guestResponsible for maintaining good atmosphere, spirit, and morale throughout the storeCreate an environment to ensure team success while developing team members through coaching, mentoring, and counselingResponsible for information distribution to Assistant Store Director and all Department ManagersResponsible for identifying areas of opportunity throughout the entire storeResponsible for implementation of new programs and directives throughout the store in a timely mannerResponsible for forecasting and implementation of programs to achieve volume and labor goals with all departments and evaluating the results of sales and labor performance throughout the storeOversees team member compensation and promotionsAides in the preparation of work schedules, assigns individuals and delegates authority to appropriate personnelCoordinates weekly team meetings of the entire store management staffSupervises all interior and exterior structural maintenance of facilityJointly manages donation budget with Assistant Store DirectorDevelops community relations and builds goodwill for the store and companyResponsible for safeguarding, controlling and monitoring all store assets, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented for control of assetsFacilitates flow of information to team membersPerforms other duties as requested or required by upper managementKey RequirementsMust be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of three years’ experience in store management or equivalentThe Store Director is required to work a minimum of 50 hours per week. The schedule shall consist of one evening shift (i.e. closing the store), one early shift (i.e. opening the store), and the remaining three days should be 8 a.m. to 6 or 7 p.m. This allows the manager to be at the store during key business times to see and meet the needs of the store guests and team members.Ability to work and communicate with all levels of management and subordinates in a professional mannerMust possess leadership skills, maturity, technical skills, and proven operations track recordMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 100 lbs, and stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)Perform all other physical aspects of the job to bending, squatting, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walkingKnowledge of company policiesAbility to forecast sales volume and product needs for ordering and schedulingMust possess technical skills to perform basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, and Email).Ability to work in fast-paced, but efficient and controlled mannerMust maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certificationBilingual English/Spanish a plusAbility to receive phone calls at homeMust be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidaysMust attend meetings, including out-of-town, requiring overnight staysMust be able to transfer to another store within the areaAbility to function as a team member and get along with othersThis job description is intended to provide a high-level of general requirements for this position.
