Janitor/Facilities Maintenance

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ** Clean shop floors by performing the following tasks: Use the shop vacuum to remove dust, chips and shavings from the shop. Pick up floor mats and move them to a holding area. Take care to move carts, pallets, etc. as needed. Replace floor mats to original location when complete. Mop the shop floors once a week or more frequently as required. Equipment preservation: Remove loose chips and shavings from machines using compressed air, vacuum and/or brush. Wipe down machines with a cleaner. Oil machine tables after cleaning to prevent rust. Trash Removal: Empty trash bins Take care of cardboard and recyclables in the appropriate dumpster. Maintain cleaning supplies in cooperation with the office personnel. Replace supplies as needed and advise on ordering cleaning supplies for efficiency. Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. ** ** **QUALIFICATIONS: ** Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn Required: Excellent attention to detail Required: High school diploma or GED Preferred: Cleaning or janitorial experience Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Salary info: $15 - $22 / hr
