You will assist in the care for a very diverse population of members of the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program. This is a multifaceted role that is highly rewarding as your work is helping people live healthier lives. The Physician, Pulmonologist will be responsible for conducting the medical monitoring assessments, physical examinations, and providing WTC-related treatment to members and clinical oversight of the William Street Clinic in New York City.Details of the Physician opening:Anticipated start date: ASAPSalary Range: $185-$195/hourAnticipated duration of assignment: 26 weeksAnticipated schedule: PT / 1-2 days per weekEnjoy peace of mind knowing you can elect Day One Medical BenefitsDaily Range of Responsibilities of the Physician:Examine, diagnose, and treat patients for acute and chronic, certified conditionsCounsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions and concernsCompleted timely and thorough documentation using our EMR systemFormulate diagnostic and treatment plansPrescribe and administer medications, therapies, and proceduresOrder lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow upCoordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary servicesCompletes all documentation and paperwork in a timely mannerMaintain clinical practice guidelinesGather complex clinical information, coverage policy and criteria information and work within regulatory guidelines to assist with coverage determinationsPerform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal laws and regulationsDemonstrate ability to maintain productive working relationships with team members, other internal and external customers, and management teamAssist Medical Director with assessments of medical policies/policy implementation and clinical operations within the organization and departmentQualifications for the Physician:MD or DO with active and unrestricted New York Medical LicenseBoard certified in Pulmonary MedicineSuccessful completion of residency at an accredited institutionActive DEA or ability to obtain prior to employmentComputer and typing proficiency, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Willingness to work onsite at the William Street ClinicAdmitting privileges in the state of New YorkQualifications for the Physician:2+ years of clinical experienceExperience in Coverage Determinations (prior authorization) Experience using online clinical references and accessing professional (clinical and regulatory) internet sitesExperience working with onscreen document imagesManaged Care backgroundExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and problem-solving skillsSubmit your resume to us today for consideration of the Physician opening and one of our dedicated recruiters will be in touch within 24 business hours.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
