Safety Specialist
The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Safety Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Oakdale, CA. Details for the position are as follows:Job Description:Payrate: $30 - $38/hr W2Duration: 4 month contract (strong potential to convert or extend based on performance & budget)Two Shifts Available:2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11pm3rd shift: 10:30pm - 7amJob Duties:Maintains system to track facility inspections, safety violations, manner of resolution and follow-up reports.Implements safety key concepts to provide the road map to zero injuries and world class performance.Participates in accident investigations and preparation of accident reports.Assists in monitoring activities for employee health and safety issues.Assists with the development and maintenance of emergency action plans.Assist with the management of the plant Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and a safe and accident-free work environment. Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related discipline and/or 3 years related experienceAwareness of food safety, quality, and food manufacturing processes preferred.Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools & fundamentals.Ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication skills.Demonstrated attention to detail requiredExcellent WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK skillsConflict resolution and negotiation skills desirable.Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
