Security LieutenantSUMMARYAssists the Director of Security in maintaining departmental goals. Directs all activities on assigned shift. Prepares work schedules, detail assignments, and prepares and maintains payroll records. Responsible for overseeing all Security Reports generated on assigned shift. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises trains and coordinates staff to ensure compliance with all related policies.Suggests and develops procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.Suggests safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.Interfaces with applicable departments to ensure customers receive superior guest service.Identifies and resolves employee and guest concerns.Interfaces with all applicable law enforcement agencies.Maintains networking capabilities across the city to ensure that all properties have an awareness of security threats and potential criminal activity that could threaten guests, employees or assets.Monitors incident reports, ensuring accurate and effective handling, and initiates Investigation process.Participates in departmental brainstorming meetings.Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESTrains, supervises, motivates and evaluates department staff.Completes human resource paperwork and submits to Director of Security in a timely and accurate manner.Communicates with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors on Departmental operations. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSBasic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.Excellent leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills required.Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.Must be able to qualify in accordance with company firearm's requirements.Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings. WORKING CONDITIONSMust work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. May be exposed to extreme heat and cold. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels
