Assembler - ComputingThis position reports to the Supervisor of the Assembly department.Responsibilities:Read work orders, follow drawings/work instructions, sample assemblies, or verbal orders to assemble productsAssemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, verbal instructions, or work instructionsExecute assembly builds in a timely manner as defined by the production scheduleWork at bench or on the shop floor to assemble vehicle accessoriesCollect parts from inventory, as neededReceive verbal instruction on priority of ordersSet-up daily work according to production schedule or verbal instructionsUse hand tools including torque controlled electric drills, wrenches, torque wrenches, and auto screw feederWork at different workstations & cross-train to support other assembly departments, as requiredGroup and package finished products with packing list for processing by shipping departmentPackage parts together according to production schedule or verbal instructionsOperate various packaging equipment including paper machine, hand sealer, bubble machine, tape machine and tape gunLabel finished products and complete paperworkMaintain a clean work area and participate in the maintenance of the facilityAdhere to all safety and ESD protection standards as dictated by companyPerform testing on a variety of custom electronic productsParticipate in product assembly training sessions, team activities and our continuous improvement processUtilize quality assurance tools such as the Vision System, Inspection Tracker, and Quality Tracker to ensure product standards are met and maintainedSupport the vision, mission, strategy and values of the companyRequirements:Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, technical certification a plusMechanically inclined with experience using basic hand toolsAbility to understand written and verbal instructions in EnglishAbility to work in a team environment and communicate effectivelyAbility to read and interpret work instructions, and engineering drawingsAbility to perform basic mathematical computations & computer applicationsMust possess a strong attention to detailMust be able to tolerate long periods of standingMust be able to perform activities that include bending, stretching and climbingAbility to regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focusGeneral knowledge of workplace safety & ESD controls, a plusGeneral knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001Work Environment Manufacturing:MachineryChemicals, (See SDS)DustNoiseProtective clothing and equipment may be requiredUse of a computer or electronic equipment may be requiredPrepared by: Human ResourcesApproved by: VP Operations1st Shift (7:00am-3:00pm Mon-Friday).
