The role is responsible for ensuring the hardware is running correctly and is managed correctly in terms of contract maintenance, support and supplies. This person is also responsible for being the primary contact for IT during any system changes, enhancements and outages. They are also the key resource for specialty software and/or database applications specific to their campusPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):Act as primary IT contact for any systems issuesReview periodically system access to ensure everyone at the campus has correct clearance, coordinate and submit all system and access requests for leadershipCoordinate IT replacements of most hardwareWork with leasing company on printer maintenance and ordering of printer suppliesResponsible for new/replacement PC setupsManage voice setup, equipment, and RF equipment repairs. Closely tracks voice equipment inventory to promptly identify when equipment is missingCoordinate updates, assist with testing, and help support the various IT systems and software for Campus and TransportationSet up all new equipment (RF units, handhelds, etc.)Resolve all user problems to keep downtime at a minimumResponsible for the completion of system backups (if required)Keep all equipment including PC and terminal keyboards, printers and monitors cleanEnsure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivityKnowledge:Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office ProgramsStrong knowledge of WMS and TMS systemsSkills:Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skillsAbilities:Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.Meet production standards set by the companyStand for long periods of timeRead and understand written and numeric product identifiersMust be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned dutiesProficient with computer for data entry and research purposesHighly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environmentEducation:High School educationExperience:Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment3+ years of experience with hardware and software systems, maintenance, and technical supportThe statements contained herein reflect general details as necessary to describe the principle functions for this job, the level of knowledge and skill typically required, and the scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
