Construction Controller
Slick Construction in Eunice, LA is seeking a Controller / Financial Manager to join our team. This is an in-office position, located in Eunice, LA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and administrative personnel while fostering accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Responsible for the general accounting functions of the company.
Manage monthly/annual closeout process and analysis of financial results.
Institute and perform periodic internal control audits/checks.
Supervision, support, and development of accounts payable & receivable.
Compile all quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting requirements.
Manage cash flow, cash account balances, and reconciliations.
Prepare financial reporting and analysis.
Work closely with operations to assist them in their plan development including financial and other operational goals.
Analyze and interpret construction and job cost accounting.
Oversee the risk management program to include review of insurance.
Provide executive oversight and support for HR administration, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and related compliance functions.
Initiate financial and strategic planning processes, work closely with Operations to assist in plan development including financial and other operational goals.
Manage banking relationships, lines of credit, and cash management activities.
Any other duties necessary to manage the finance department.

Leading and managing employees.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting functions to other team members and to relate to employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Well organized, detail oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
Ability to multitask and handle daily interruptions while still making progress on strategic initiatives and daily deliverables.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting – required.
Experience in leading and managing people.
10+ years of related accounting and financial experience, construction or related industry experience a plus.
CPA a plus.
