Header Machine Technician

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Setup Technician to operate and maintain header machines, ensuring the production of high-quality manufactured products. In this role, you will interpret technical drawings, select appropriate materials and tools, and perform essential machine adjustments and maintenance. Your expertise will contribute directly to maintaining production standards and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Monitor assigned header machines to ensure optimal performance and quality output. Interpret shop drawings and technical specifications to guide machine setup and operation. Select proper materials and tooling, making necessary adjustments to maintain machine accuracy. Perform routine machine maintenance, including daily lubrication and minor repairs. Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product dimensions and adherence to quality standards. Document and manage materials, ensuring accurate tracking and movement to subsequent operations. Maintain accurate records, including attribute and SPC charting, lot splits, and job card/scanner inputs. Troubleshoot minor issues and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance teams to resolve problems. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and perform basic shop mathematics. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Experience with precision measuring instruments. Preferred Skills 1-3 years of related experience in machine operation and setup. Familiarity with computer systems used in manufacturing environments. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
